Reminders for an Easier Thanksgiving-
Make a turkey meatlof if it's a small gathering with the traditional sides
Nothing wrong with using stuffing out of the box or bag a few times a year
Canned cranberry sauce is fine and can be presented nicely
Frozen ready-to-bake pie crusts make pie making a lot easier
Whipped topping in the container or whipped cream in the can does the job.
Back in the early 60s and prior, nearly everything was made from scratch and
many people still enjoy doing that. I think it's special and commendable. However,
some of us cannot do that due to pain, fatique, lack of time or other commitments,
such as being a care giver or working the day prior to Thanksgiving and the day after.
Using the above suggestions makes a wonderful dinner whether it's for one, two or
a dozen.
